Frank Turner

Folk musician Frank Turner was born in Bahrain and educated on a scholarship at the prestigious Eton College, and read History at the London School of Economics .
As a kid he listened to a lot of Counting Crows, Weezer, The Levellers, The Beatles before going through a punk, hardcore and metal phase. In recent years, his biggest influences have been Johnny Cash's "American Recordings" series, which in turn set him onto (among many others) people like Neil Young, Damien Jurado, Jim Bryson, John Rouse, Bruce Springsteen and Ryan Adams.
Since the demise of his former punk rock band Million Dead he has pursued a solo career in folk music and he will perform all the hits from his latest album, Love, Ire and Song, at the Brudenell Social Club.
