Kirkstall Abbey

Kirkstall Abbey is a museum located on the outskirts of Leeds centre and is famous as one of the most complete examples of a medieval Cistercian abbey in Britain.

Boasting historic architecture amid a haven of wildlife and greenery, uncover what life was like for a 12th century monk using the interactive displays, reconstructions and audio-visual presentation. Explore the grounds by taking a stroll through the wonderful parkland along the banks of the River Aire.
