Built in 1858, the historic Leeds Town Hall is best known for its Victorian architecture that reflects the wealth, power and confidence of the age in which it was created.
Opened by Queen Victoria herself, the Town Hall has been widely used as council offices, courthouse, for concerts, royal celebrations, and around 2,000 separate events including The International Concert Season to conferences held throughout the year.
Tours of the Town Hall are arranged on Heritage Days, when people are given a guided tour of the building, and can visit areas not usually open to members of the public.
