Leventhorpe Vineyard
July 23rd 2008 23:36
The Leventhorpe Vineyard on the outskirts of Leeds' city boundary was established in 1985 and is the most northerly commercial vineyard at present.
Covering 5 acres of land, the local topography, south-facing slope and micro-climate are generous for producing characterful West Yorkshire wines which are made on site in a small modern facility. Many of the wines (mainly white; limited amounts of sparkling and red wine) have won awards at regional level.
