Middleton Railway

Middleton Railway was first opened in 1758 and 250 years later, it's still going strong and boasts the title of the world’s oldest working railway.

For train lovers, the attraction of Middleton Railway is obvious but for those with only a passing interest, there are plenty of other things to see and do including nature trails and picnic facilities. Other highlights include a large collection of railway locomotives can be seen or explore the Engine House, learn about the great Leeds locomotive builders and take the train to Middleton Park.
