The largest museum in Leeds city centre is the Royal Armouries set over 5 floors of a multi-million pound purpose built building.

Housing a large part of the national collection of arms and armour, this includes over 8500 objects on display throughout its five themed galleries. Some of the best in the collection of arms/armour includes a Japanese Tokugawa armour, Elephant armour, Gothic armour, Lion armour and many more!

Outside is the Craft Court where the Gunmaker, Armourer’s workshop and the Wardrobe can be seen - you can even watch the craftsmen and women at work!
