Scouting for Girls
March 4th 2008 21:00
London three-piece pop rockers Scouting for Girls was formed in 2005 by lead singer Roy Stride. Joined by lifelong mates Greg Churchouse on bass guitar and Peter Ellard on drums, the band struggled in the early stages of their career but in 2007, their lives changed.
The band signed their first recording contract and released their first E.P. a few months later. "It's Not About You" became the highest charting limited edition E.P. in chart history.
Their self-titled debut album was released in late January 2008 and in just over a month since its release, it has gone Platinum and has sold over 400,000 copies, peaking at #1 in the UK.
