LAOS return to the Playhouse for the first time since 2006 with Stephen Sondheim’s dark musical tale of revenge and pastry, Sweeney Todd.
When Benjamin Barker returns from an Australian penal colony to find his wife poisoned and his daughter taken from him by the very judge who sent him away, he decides to exact revenge in the most bloody and gruesome way. Enlisting the help of Mrs Lovett who owns the pie shop next door, he begins to feed his need by cooking up his victims for the public.
