The Magic Flute
April 10th 2008 19:42
Mozart’s final opera is a favourite with audiences all over the world, combining pantomime and ritual with some of his finest music. Requiring a large cast and chorus, this all-embracing masterpiece has humour, pathos, love and humanity - a kaleidoscope of human experience displayed on the operatic stage.
Fully staged with the Leeds College of Music Sinfonietta, the full-time students’ orchestra, in the intimate setting of The Venue, and in the new English translation by Jeremy Sams, it will be an exciting and memorable evening.
