York Gate Garden
August 14th 2008 07:30
York Gate is a serene one-acre garden tucked away behind the ancient church in Adel on the northern outskirts of Leeds. Created during the second half of the 20th century by the Spencer family , the picturesque garden boasts immense style and craftsmanship and is widely recognised as one of the most innovative small gardens in the country.
The garden is divided by yew and beech hedges into a series of smaller gardens - each with its own theme and style - and accessible via a series of pretty paths to pergolas.
